Export of building solar study as an animation in a very accessible way of showing how the light will work at the place and time used for a building created in Revit.

Here is a tutorial on how to prepare an animation:

  1. In Sun Setting, select the location, the option Single Day or Multi-Day, set the desired date, time and Time Interval. Note: A smaller Time Interval affects the animation with more frames.
  2. Select File, then Export, Images and Animations and Solar Study.
  3. In the Length / Format tab, select the All frames option, leave the default Frame / sec: 15 (this is equivalent to 4s of the animation), set the Visual Style and dimensions of the animation. If necessary, you can also adjust the zoom.
  4. Check Include Time and Date Stamp so that the date and times is visible in the animation and select OK
  5. Save the animation to the desired location and select the compression
